︙ Biography
Working primarily with graphite and ink, Jennifer Fleming develops a visual language through the meditative repetition and evolution of mark-making. Her work considers the role of subjectivity in our shared understanding of the world, working from the natural landscape to question the interconnectedness of our visual experiences.
Working outdoors from nature is a key element of Jennifer’s process as she draws upon kinaesthetic and multi-sensory observation to synthesise her personal encounter with the environment.
